Kyoto has a humid subtropical climate with four distinct seasons. Spring (March–May) is mild and pleasant (12–24°C), with cherry blossoms peaking late March to early April—one of the best times to visit. Summer (June–August) is hot, humid, and sticky (up to 35°C), with a rainy season in June. Autumn (September–November) is cool, crisp, and dry (28°C dropping to 16°C), offering spectacular fall foliage in mid-to-late November.
